The January caucuses may have had a big impact on boosting registered Republicans in Marion County. According to voter registration records, there are 9327 registered Republicans in the county, up more than 7% from June 2010. Registered Democrats have decreased in that same timeframe, falling more than 7% to 6511. The amount of people not registered to any party has also decreased. There are 8326 people not registered to a party in Marion County, down almost 5% since June 2010. Overall, there are about 24,175 registered voters in the county, down about 1% from June 2010.
