A 57-year-old Knoxville man will appear in court Friday on a 2nd degree robbery charge. Johnny Bruce Wallace was arrested in October after authorities say he attempted to stage a stickup at a local banke. Wallace allegedly walked into Valley Bank in Knoxville with a cloth over his hand, pointed at the tellers, and demanded money. He fled without receiving any money. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says that no weapon was found on Wallace when he was tracked down a short while later. His trial is set for April 3rd.
