A 36-17 scoring advantage in the second half helped the Twin Cedars boys basketball team overcome a nine-point halftime deficit to come back and defeat Moravia 56-46 Monday night in Bussey. The Sabers’ early offensive struggles had them facing the short end of a 29-20 halftime score, but they would outscore the Mohawks 20-8 in a decisive third period, before closing out the game with a strong fourth quarter.

Coy Moore’s 21 points was tops for the Twin Cedars boys, with Dylan Springer chipping in 14 points. The Sabers are now 11-12 overall. They’ll travel to Moulton-Udell Thursday night to face the host Eagles in a Class 1A District Quarterfinal match-up.
