Central College’s John Roslien has been named a recipient of the 2012 National Athletic Trainers Association’s Service Award. Roslien, Central’s director of the athletic training education program, will be honored at NATA’s annual meeting June 26-29 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The award recognizes NATA members for their contributions to the athletic training profession as a volunteer at the local, state and district levels. To be eligible for the honor, athletic trainers must be a 15-year member of NATA and in good standing, and have 15 years BOC certification.

Roslien joined the Central staff as head athletic trainer in 1986 and became program director in 2003. He’s also an associate professor of exercise science and serves as one of Central’s faculty athletic representatives.
