Central College has announced the resignation of longtime Athletics Director Al Dorenkamp. He was Captain of the Dutch team that took the NCAA Division III Championship Football title in 1974, and graduated from Central in 1975. He has been with the college for 14 years as Athletic Director, and in that time the school has taken 4 NCAA national team championships, 13 NCAA individual titles and 46 Iowa Conference crowns. Al and his wife Jo, Central Postal Service Coordinator, will be stepping down from their positions effective the end of this school year to pursue another phase in their lives. The search for a replacement AD will begin in the spring.
