[simage=4718,200,y,left] The defense team for Michael Miller has filed a change of venue motion. The 43-year-old Knoxville man is charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife, Theresa Miller.

According to court records, Miller allegedly paid Terry Cobbins, Jr. to kill Theresa. Cobbins was convicted last week of first degree murder. Miller’s defense team wrote in the motion that the extensive and comprehensive coverage of the Cobbins trial is the motivating factor behind the motion.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull has resisted the motion, and a hearing on it has been scheduled for this Thursday in the Clarke County Courthouse in Osceola at 9:30am. Miller’s trial is set to begin on March 19.
