From the onset of the 2011-12 wrestling season, Pella High head coach Joe Burch said his team wasn’t only going to measure success in wins and losses.  While the losses did, in fact, outnumber the wins, it was the progress made from last season to this season that has Burch the most excited about his team’s performance.  

The Little Dutch earned three dual victories, wrestled closer to their competition in more meets, and picked up several tournament finalists and tournament champions along the way.  Burch adds that more than anything, the camaraderie of the members of the team is what made this past season an enjoyable one for him and his staff.
