The Knoxville Community Easter Egg Hunt takes place on the Saturday before Easter at 1pm. The hunt will take place in the open grass field located at the corners of Madison and Lincoln Streets in Knoxville, and will be for children between one and 12 years of age. Last year, members of the Knoxville Noon Kiwanis Club and many other volunteers were able to stuff about 9000 eggs for the children. Noon Kiwanis Club member Jamie Hughes says that they are hoping to be able to get up to 10,000 eggs this year, and are very close to being able to do so. She says they are still taking candy donations, and asks that anyone who wishes to donate should bring a bag of candy to the Knoxville Chamber Office. For more information on the event, call 891-2418.
