The Knoxville girls tennis squad will be led by number one singles player Emily Lee this season. Lee had a solid season last year at number two singles and teamed with Kari Collins to finish runner up in the Little Hawkeye Conference and third at the regionals. Collins graduated at midterm and now that leaves Lee in the number one slot. Coach Nick DeMoss says Lee’s level of play will have her challenging for a top spot in the conference again. Likely number two singles will be Kassie Griggs. DeMoss says she also has improved from one year to the next. After one and two singles, he still has to figure out the rest of the team. DeMoss ads there are several younger players that have the ability to grab a varsity spot.
