1600 dollars was raised for the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Foundation during their first ever Strikes, Spares, and Stitches Bowl-a-thon earlier this month. Public Relations Director Katrina Nelson tells KNIA/KRLS News that they had a great turnout for their first event, and she’s very happy about how everything went. She hopes the event continues annually, and says that they’ll work to make the event bigger and better.

Nelson adds that the Foundation also has their first ever golf tournament coming up in mid-July. They are also in the middle of their appeal drive right now, and Nelson says that 85 percent of the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics staff have participated in that drive, surpassing their goal of 80 percent. She says that they’re now pushing for 100 percent. The appeal drive ends in the first part of May.

The Foundation ensures the hospital and clinics continue to provide the setting, tools, and people to deliver quality care to the patients at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.
