The Knoxville Morning Kiwanis Club is teaming up with the Knoxville Music Boosters to host a ham and bean soup fundraiser today. Brenda Spear is involved with the music boosters. She tells KNIA/KRLS News that some of the funds will be used to support the music program and enhance their opportunities. Spear notes that music boosters have helped cut down the costs on trips in the past, as well as providing chaperones on those trips. She says they have helped purchase things such as choir robes, music racks, and flowers on senior night, among other things.
The fundraiser is being put on with help from the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis Club. The Morning Kiwanis Club is helping as part of a community service project. The fundraiser is today from 11am-7pm at the Marion County Extension Office. Tickets can be at the door and take-out is available.
