An area business has been nominated for its support of National Guard and Reserve employees. The Department of Defense Agency–Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve–has recognized Knoxville Water Works as a nominee for the 2012 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Freedom Award is the Department of Defense’s highest recognition for employers supporting members of the Guard and Reserve. Up to 15 recipients will be announced this summer and honored in Washington, DC on September 20.
