[simage=4718,200,y,left] A jury in Clarke County has found Michael Miller guilty of murder in the first-degree. The jury finished deliberating just after 10:30, according to officials at the Clarke County Courthouse. Miller was tried for first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Teresa Miller. The State of Iowa said that Miller hired Terry Cobbins, Jr. to kill Teresa so he could be with another woman. Cobbins was found guilty of first-degree murder earlier this month.

Michael Miller now faces a mandatory life prison sentence. He’s been brought back to the Marion County Jail and will be sentenced on April 27th. The case was prosecuted by Marion County Attorney Ed Bull and Assistant Attorney General Andy Prosser.

Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says it’s tough to feel happy with the verdict as nothing will bring Teresa back. He says no one deserves to die in the manner she did.

Bull thanks the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office for their “tireless investigation” and assistance. Bull notes that without their hard work, Miller and Cobbins would not have faced justice for their “heinous crime.”
