New Goalie For Knoxville Boys Soccer In 2012

Knoxville’s boys soccer team will feature a new face at goalkeeper this season. A year ago, Robert Woodle firmly anchored the position, stopping 104 shots to close out a strong career in black and gold. This season, Tyler Wadle appears to be the likely candidate to spend the season between the pipes for the Panthers.

Knoxville head coach Jon Smith says the sophomore played several minutes late in games last season and also gained experience as the junior varsity starter; adding that the sophomore is certainly capable of being a very good varsity player. Panthers’ assistant coach Aaron Colbert played keeper in high school and has been helping to coach Wadle in the early season.

The Knoxville boys soccer team opens their season April 3rd at home with a match against Carlisle.
