It may be his first season of varsity golf this spring, but Pella High’s Payne Pleima is no stranger to the game. The senior joined KNIA/KRLS Sports Director on this week’s Marion County PM Sports Page to discuss why he chose to go out for golf this season, why golf isn’t the only thing that keeps him busy, and shares which club is his favorite in the bag.

Pella High’s Lucas Boyd was a sudden-death shot away from an individual state title in golf a season ago and is focused on ending his season at the top this May. On this week’s Marion County PM Sports Page, KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall caught up with Boyd at his home away from home – the Bos Landen Golf Club – to talk about his aspirations for the season, the family bonds that tie him to the game of golf and why every guy needs a “bro day”.
