Three seniors, a junior and a sophomore were each recognized for their individual contributions to the Pella High boys basketball team during this season at the team’s recent awards night. Senior Lucas Boyd earned the team’s Leadership award and was also named Most Inspirational Player. Boyd averaged 7.0 points per game for the Little Dutch and was the team’s leader in assists.

Taylor Cox earned the Perserverance Award and Brannon Johnson was presented with the squad’s Positive Attitude Award. Other team recognitions went to junior Josh De Waard – Best Practice Player – and sophomore Nathan Clayberg; who was named Pella High’s Most Improved Player. The Little Dutch went 14-8 overall this past season and were runner-up in the Little Hawkeye Conference standings at 9-3.
