The Pella Christian boys soccer team notched their second impressive conference soccer win in a row Monday night, downing a skilled Grinnell squad 3-1. Playing the way head coach Josh Visser knew they were capable of, the Eagles took a 2-1 lead into intermission after a fluke goal by the Tigers snuck past keeper Alec Vink.

Pella Christian kept the defensive pressure up in the second half, adding an additional goal to secure the victory. The Eagles first half goals came from Matt Spoelstra and Jordan Van Maanen, with Dan Hessing scoring in the second half. Vink made 21 saves in goal for Pella Christian, helping the Eagles move to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the LIttle Hawkeye Conference.

They’re off until Monday when they face Grandview Park Baptist.
