Turning in scores of 74 or better, the Central College men’s golf team grabbed a four-stroke lead after the first round of the 14-team Webster University Gorlok Invitational Sunday. The Dutch carded an 8-under-par 288 at the Forest Park Golf Club. Parkland Community College follows in second place with 292 while Millikin University is third with 294. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Carroll University are tied for fourth with 296. Justin Livingston and Brent Goodenow each fired a 1-over-par 71 and are tied for third, one stroke out of first place. The 36-hole invitational concludes Monday at the par-72 Sunset Country Club.
