After grabbing 13th place in the team standings following round one, Central College women’s golf team maintained its position Sunday at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling, carding a 339-358—697 to finish 13th in the 18-team race. DePauw University held on to the top spot, finishing the tournament with a 306-328—634 and Centre College was second with 312-325—637.

Sarah Paulson was Central’s highest finisher in the individual standings, which featured 102 competitors. The senior finished in a tie for 24th place on a 78-89—167 effort, dropping from her 11th place round-one finish. Kaurie Kincaid, a junior from Knoxville, rounded out the Dutch squad, carding an 89-101—190.

The Dutch host the Central Spring Invitational Friday and Saturday at Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella. Featuring seven teams, including several Iowa Conference opponents, it will be Central’s final outing this spring.
