Going into the season the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad was planning to hang its hat on defense. However, it was the defense that let the Panthers down in their 3-2 loss to Carlisle last night. The Panthers took the early lead late in the first half on a penalty kick by Alex Dye, however the Wildcats nailed a goal just before the first half expired, and that seemed to turn the match completely around. Knoxville got another goal in the second half from Brandon Hall, but Carlisle scored twice in the final half to get the win. Knoxville is now 0-1 on the season and will travel to Pella Christian on Thursday.
