Starting Monday next week, fire hydrants in Pella will be flushed. Curtis Jones at the Water Treatment Plant says they flush the hydrants a few times a year as a preventative maintenance measure.The hydrant flushing could cause water to turn cloudy, and the Water Plant recommends not washing whites if your water is cloudy. Usually, a second wash will clean the clothes, but they do offer a special detergent if your clothes are affected.
