Racing on a soggy Eddyville-Blakesburg Track, the Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad scored a 41 point victory over runner up Mount Pleasant last night at the Rocket Relays. First place finishes went to Derek Seddon in the shot put and discus, Wick Cunningham in the 3200 and 1600 meter runs, and Ryan Douglas in the high jump and 400 hurdles. Also winning was Blake Wyatt in the 400 and Colton Spaur in the 200. Coach Mike Cunningham II says unofficially, the 4×100 meter relay team along with Seddon in the discus and shot put are in the Drake Relays next week. The official qualifiers list will be released this weekend.

In the smaller school portion of the meet, Twin Cedars finished in fifth place with 50 points. Wayne claimed the small-school title with 125 points, followed by Sigourney, North Mahaska and Southeast Warren. Highlights for the Sabers included a first place throw from Deryk Bingham in the Discus and third-place finishes in the Long Jump and Shuttle Hurdle Relay.
