The Knoxville Morning Kiwanis Club officially kicked off their Miracle Playground fundraising drive Tuesday morning. Members of Morning Kiwanis placed a large sign in front of Young’s Park to indicate how far along they are in the fundraising project. Young’s Park is the proposed location for the new playground. The sign also doubles as a large photo of what the playground would look like. Morning Kiwanis member Ernie Smith says that it’s a large endeavor, but they are hoping the community will help make it happen. The first phase of the project requires $70,000.
