Pella travelled to Fairfield to play the Trojans on Thursday night, earning a hard-fought 3-2 victory. Pella scored very quickly off a corner kick in the first minute of the game. Brennan Mejia put away a loose ball the ricocheted off the post and the Dutch were up 1-0. However, Pella wouldn’t score for almost the rest of the game. The Trojans scored on the 13th and 27th minutes of the first half, and out-hustled the Dutch to finish the first half ahead 2-1.

After a Tukker Bogaard goal, the game looked to be headed to overtime. A last-minute drive by the Dutch ended with a long cross by Bogaard across the box, which found Adrian Gibson on the other side of the goal for a quick score with only 10 seconds left in the game. Pella High’s overall record is now 2-1-1.
