The Pella High girls track and field squad has torn through the competition so far, and seem to show no signs of letting up any time soon. Seniors Marielle Gaiser and Katie Sunderman and junior Lauren Manecke slowed down just long enough for KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall to catch them for this week’s Marion County PM Sports Page show. The trio shared why they’re driven to push themselves harder each meet, what makes this year’s squad a special bunch and how animal noises – yes, animal noises – led to one of their best outings of the season.
