Following a strong start to the season, the Pella Christian boys soccer team suffered a bit of a setback Monday night, falling at home to North Polk 5-2. The Eagles found themselves in a bit of a hole through the opening half, trailing the comets 3-1 by intermission.

The offense struggled to find opportunities again in the second half, while North Polk continued to pressure the Eagles and their keeper; Jordan Van Maanen. Van Maanen still finished the night with a dozen saves, while Dan Hessing and Will Vande Voort accounted for Pella Christian’s two goals.

The Eagles will try and turn it around quickly, as they’ll look to better their 1-1 record tonight at home against Albia.
