It’s been a bit of a rough start to the season so far for the Pella Christian girls soccer team, but the Lady Eagles are hoping to change their luck for the better this evening. Senior captains Kylie Lamb and Karianne Bolt say the emphasis for this game – and any game – is to stay concentrated on their own play and to support each other along the way.

“I think it’s really about just doing our best, and not worrying about the competition, but making sure what we do is our personal best and our best as a team,” said Lamb.

“I think pushing the ball [on offense] and getting the ball through to the forwards so they can score is something we need to work on,” added Bolt, “and just encouraging each other.”

Following shut-out losses to Norwalk and Indianola, Pella Christian once again takes their act on the road – this time to Alleman to face North Polk. The Lady Eagles are 0-2 overall and 0-1 against the Little Hawkeye Conference. This evening’s JV/Varsity doubleheader begins at 5:30 p.m.
