With a number of savvy veterans leading the way, the Pella Christian girls tennis team seemed to pick up their 2012 season where the previous year’s left off, punishing Albia 10-1 in Monday night’s season opener.

The Lady Eagles swept singles play, with only one match taking more than two sets. Pella Christian’s only loss came in a hard-fought match at No. 3 doubles that featured a 15-13 loss in the final set. Up next for the Pella Christian girls tennis team is a tournament this Saturday at Johnston.
