PCM hosted its first meet of the season Tuesday night on their newly resurfaced track, and a lot of top-notch talent turned out to break in the new oval. In the girls’ meet, PCM’s Lexi Kain put on an impressive showing, finishing first in the 100 and 200 Meter Dash, along with running a leg on the winning 4×100 Meter Relay team.

The Knoxville girls medalled in four events, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 4×800 Meter Relay, along with Chambray Daugherty and Emily Belloma winning the High Jump and Long Jump, respectively. The Pleasantville girls’ top performance of the night came in the 4×200 Meter Relay, where they earned 6th place. No team scores for the meet were available.

In the boys’ portion of the PCM Invitational, Knoxville claimed the team title with 124 points; 28 ahead of North Polk. PCM tied for third on their home track with 80 points, while nearby Pleasantville finished with 34 points and took 10th place.

Highlights on the boys’ side included four gold medals for Knoxville; with Derek Seddon winning the discus, Colton Spaur taking the 200 Meter Dash, and the Panthers winning the 4×100 and 4×200 Meter Relays. PCM’s Jordan Van Roekel claimed gold in the 400 Meter Dash, and the Mustangs’ Shuttle Hurdle Relay team finished first, just in front of Pleasantville. The Trojans also garnered a fourth-place finish in 4×100 Meter Relay.
