Continuing their long road trip, the Pella High boys soccer team battled constant wins and a skilled Gilbert squad Monday night; ultimately earning a 2-0 win over the Tigers. Gilbert started out the game playing aggressive defense on their home field, and the two teams entered the intermission at a scoreless tie.

With the wind behind them in the second half, the Little Dutch set the tone early, scoring quickly on an Adrian Gibson put-away on a loose ball. Tukker Bogaard beat the Tigers’ defense 20 minutes later, giving Pella the insurance goal needed to hang on the rest of the way.

The Pella High boys soccer team is now 3-1-1 on the season and will continue their road trip this evening with a trip to Newton.
