The Pella City Council discussed road repairs to West 1st Street at their meeting on Tuesday evening. The stretch of road is one of the lowest ranked in terms of maintenance. There are two estimates for this project. One bid is for replacing the brick street with concrete. That estimate comes in at just under $225,000. The estimate for keeping the road brick is just over $300,000. The Council plans to hold a discussion about whether or not the city will attemp to maintain all of its brick roads next month.
