Starting their season out on their home course at Bos Landen, the Pella High girls golf team came out victorious in a head-to-head meeting with Fairfield Monday evening. Paced by a nine-hole score of 50 by medalist Rachel Schwab, the Lady Dutch fired a 226 as a team, distancing themselves by 22 in front of the Trojans. Pella also earned individual runner-up honors, as Amber Reynolds took second place with a 55. The Lady Dutch will golf again today, as they’ll travel to Norwalk for a triangular that includes fellow Little Hawkeye Conference opponent Oskaloosa.
