Three Central College athletes have been named Iowa Conference performers of the week. Seth Harris was named the men’s tennis player of the week, Annie Sarcone was cited as the softball position player of the week and Kyle Wood was the men’s outdoor track events athlete of the week for track and field.

Harris won two matches at No. 1 singles in a league sweep Saturday at Loras College and the University of Dubuque. He has an 8-4 spring singles mark and is 6-3 in doubles play.

Sarcone helped the No. 8 Dutch to a 4-0 record last week. In a doubleheader upset against No. 3 Coe College, the shortstop recorded six hits in seven at bats while driving in four runs and scoring four. She notched her seventh home run and eighth double of the year and was on base five straight times.

His 400 meters time ranks 12th in Division III. The 4×100 relay Wood is on has the sixth best time in the nation, and Central’s 4×400 squad ranks 20th.
