Led by medalist Trent Kennedy, the Melcher-Dallas boys golf team notched their first victory of the season Tuesday night in Moravia. The Saints shot a combined 206 at The Preserve Golf Course at Honey Creek, just one stroke in front of runner-up Mormon Trail. Host Moravia finished in third with a 215.
Kennedy fired the lowest individual score of the day for the second time in back-to-back competitions, carding a 41 to lead Melcher-Dallas. Teammate Matt Johnson also had a solid night, as he fired a 46 for the Saints.
