A trip to the Class 1A Boys State Team Tennis team was just within reach of the Pella High boys, but Maharishi got in the way and defeated the Little Dutch in Satuday’s Substate Finals in Fairfield.  Pella opened the day with a 5-2 win over Keokuk in the semifinals, courtesy of wins by their No. 2, 4, 5 and 6 singles and the doubles team of Michael Schemm and Jamison Roozeboom.  The Pioneers won 5-1 over the Little Dutch in the finals, with Pella’s only win coming from Roozeboom at No. 6 singles.
