A run-in with perennial powerhouse Waterloo Columbus/Don Bosco ended Pella Christian’s hopes of qualifying their team for the Class 1A Girls State Team Tennis Meet, as they were swept 5-0 Monday in Grinnell. The Lady Eagles will still be represented on the state level in individual play, though, as the tandem of District Doubles Champions Aubree Else and Kayla DeBruin will be joined by District Runners-Up Megan Van Kooten and Paige Engbers on May 31st in Waterloo for the Girls Individual State Tournament.
