It’s double the doubles teams today for the Pella Christian girls tennis team in Waterloo, as the Lady Eagles have a pair of duos competing in the Class 1A Girls Individidual State Tennis Tournament.

The team of Aubree Else and Kayla DeBruin enter the meet as Region 8 champs and will face a team from Camanche to start their tournament run.  Meanwhile, the tandem of Megan Van Kooten and Paige Engbers competes against a team from Decorah for their first round match-up.  Pella Christian and perennial powerhouse Waterloo Columbus Catholic are the only schools to have two doubles teams reach the State Tournament.

Competition from Byrnes Park in Waterloo begins at approximately 10:00 a.m. today.
