It didn’t come easy, but the Pella High boys soccer team still came away from Thursday night’s season finale with a win; sending their seniors out with an unblemished conference record via a 1-0 win over rival Knoxville.

The Panthers showed the same fire they’ve had in years past against the Little Dutch, out-hustling the green-and-white for the entire first half, and the two teams were scoreless at intermission.  With the wind at their back in the second half, Pella’s offense began to find its rhythm, and Grant Barrick scored what would prove to be the deciding goal.

The Little Dutch end the regular season with a 15-2-1 overall record and a 6-0 mark against conference opponents.  Their strong season earned them a first round bye in next week’s Substate Tournament before beginning play on Wednesday, May 23rd.
