The four Iowa House and Senate candidates will be among the featured guests tonight as Ag in the City kicks off in Knoxville. Megan Suhr, Amy Sinclair, Dick Schrad, and Greg Heartsill will compete in a trivia contest tonight in downtown Knoxville.

Entries are also being accepted for the Knoxville Federated Garden Club’s “Sitting Pretty” Gardening contest all afternoon Friday before the event kicks off. Any chair planted with live flowers will be accepted. Friday will also feature a rib eye dinner from the Marion County Cattlemen and a bandstand concert and jeopardy game.

A sprinkler is being set up by the Fire Department outside of Iowa State Savings Bank to help the kids stay cool. There are a variety of other things activities too, such as the Titan Machinery Kiddie Pedal Pull, pony rides, inflatables, machinery on display from Titan Machinery and Barker Implement, and much more. Ag in the City runs from 5-9pm Friday and 7am-1pm Saturday.
