Four errors allowed Roland-Story to pick up four unearned runs to open a 4-0 lead and left the PCM baseball team short in Wednesday night’s 6-4 loss in Story City. The Mustangs out-hit the Norsemen 6-to-3, but defensively would not back-up a steady outing from starting pitcher Alex DeWitte. DeWitte finished his night allowing three hits, two hit batsmen and one walk, while striking out seven in five innings of work in the loss.

PCM’s six hits all came from different batters, though Sean O’Connor, Kurt Timmons and Jordan Van Roekel each went 1-for-3 with a double. O’Connor put up two RBIs, with Timmons and Van Roekel each notching one run batted-in. The loss drops the PCM baseball team to 17-4 overall and 10-3 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.
