The Knoxville Softball Squad fell in a back and fourth game with Class four-A number eight Winterset last night. While the 16-6 final score does not indicate the way the game went, Knoxville’s big highlight was a third inning grand slam by Cheyenne Jones as Knoxville game back from being down 6-1 to tie it at six. However, Winterset scored three runs in the fourth and seven in the fifth to end the game early. Emily Wallace who was tagged with the loss went 2/3 at the plate as did Marissa Lenger. Haley Worrall went 3/3. Jones had four R-B-I, while Taylor Carter batted in the other two runs for the Panthers. Knoxville is 5-13 on the season and will travel to Grinnell tonight.
