The Knoxville Baseball Squad was swept at Newton last night as the Panthers fell two/nothing in a well-pitched game by Kevin Woodhouse. In the nightcap, Knoxville jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the sixth inning, only to see the game slip away in the seventh, and lose 8-7 in eight innings. Coach Joel Johnson used three pitchers knowing that this was the first of five straight days of games for Knoxville. Bryce Zoutte started then gave way to Lane Colwell, who then yielded to Kaden Loscher. Knoxville slips to 5-18 on the season and 3-10 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Panthers will host Pella Christian in another varsity double header. You can hear game two on KNIA/KRLS at around 7:30.
