Plenty of hits and savvy base-running helped the Pella High softball team notch a convincing 11-1 road win Monday night against Grinnell. The Lady Dutch finished the evening with 11 hits, as Lindsey Mueller, Lexi McGinley and Sierra Williams each notched a pair of hits; while Diana Zabrodova slugged three RBIs and Allie DeMeulenaere took advantage of two walks to get on the base paths and steal two bags.

Pitcher Bri Arkema earned the win for Pella, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out seven Grinnell batters. The win puts the Pella High softball team at 15-10 overall and 5-4 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Lady Dutch are on the road again tonight; this time for a tough non-conference match-up with North Mahaska.
