Two big offensive innings and a rock solid performance on the mound by Hutch Burns helped the PCM baseball team run up a 14-0, five-inning victory Monday night at Collins-Maxwell/Baxter. The Mustangs struck for five runs in the first frame and another seven in the third inning to quickly put the game out of reach. A total of 19 players saw action for PCM, spreading the wealth offensively, while Burns pitched four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out four. The win puts the Mustangs at 8-1 overall, entering a key conference home game tonight against Gilbert.
