Fire at Eagle Creek

Shortly after 11 this morning, the Pella Fire Department, Pella Ambulance, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a fire at 904 204th Place in the Eagle Creek Development west of Pella. Flames had been extinguished when firefighters arrived on scene. KNIA/KRLS will provide more information as soon as it becomes official.

Heat Persists

The National Weather Service reports that heat will continue across Iowa today and into the weekend with highs from the upper 80s to upper 90s across the state. Scattered thunderstorms are expected today into tonight over the state as a boundary lifts slowly northward during the day.
