The Pella Christian softball team was defeated 6-1 in Oskaloosa Monday night.  Tessa Howerzyl led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double; while Sami Veenstra and Cara Turner each went 1-for-2.  Turner scored Pella Christian’s lone run, and Veenstra walked twice.  Shannon Fynaardt went the distance in the pitching circle, allowing six runs on five hits and five walks.  The Lady Eagles are now 6-19 overall and 3-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
