The Pella High girls soccer team is on the cusp of their much anticipated return to the Class 2A State Tournament, with one more day in front of them to prepare. In an interview with KNIA/KRLS Sports, senior captains Addie Van Vliet and Lexi DeHeer explained how the focus throughout the season has made this moment even sweeter.

“It feels awesome! We all really wanted to make it to this point, and I think we all knew deep down that we were going to because we are such a focused team and we’ve been together for so long,” said Van Vliet. “I am just really excited to go to State.”

“We’ve been working for this all season,” added DeHeer. “We were going for a conference championship – and we got that – and this was just our next goal. It feels amazing.”
