Lightning spoiled the end of a fun day of high school baseball in Bussey, as Pleasantville found themselves in the championship game of the Twin Cedars Invite.

The Trojans and Sabers squared off against each other in the first game of the day, with Pleasantville hanging on for a 4-2 victory.  That landed the Sabers in the consolation game, where they routed Colfax-Mingo 13-3 in five innings.

With storms rolling in, Pleasantville took to the field against Eddyville-Blakesburg in the championship game, but when lightning struck after 6 1/3 innings, the game was called and the Rockets 6-4 lead turned into a 6-4 win.
