For the second night in a row, the Pleasantville baseball team earned a convincing victory over Wayne – this time an 11-0 shutout in five innings Thursday night. The Trojans had won 11-6 the previous night in a make-up game with the Falcons. Starting pitcher Patrick Sheehey earned the complete game victory, tallying six strikeouts in five innings of work. At the plate, the Trojans were led by Matt Prill, Calvin Adreon and Collin Thomas – who each tallied a pair of hits. The win puts the Pleasantville baseball team at 15-4 overall and 8-2 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.
