The schedule may look quite different for the Knoxville Baseball Squad next season. Head Coach Joel Johnson said all season that there was not enough breaks in the schedule to have a couple of days of practice. He says next season he wants to see 21 dates while still getting in 35 games or close to the maximum allowable of 40. That means more non-conference varsity double headers for the Panthers, something that Johnson says many of the opposing coaches are interested in. He also would like to start the season about a week later than it has been, preferably after the state track and field meet. That way, the guys that ran at state track can get in a few practices and get acclimated to the team.
